About me

Yves Damin, artist and Illustrator

Son of the Lyon artist painter Georges Damin, I was introduced to painting from an early age. Accompanying my parents throughout Europe, my childhood was spent with my nose in the tubes of paint and holding the easel. In particular on the Port of St-Tropez, the Place de l’Eglise de Megève.

My course is a great preparation for artistic professions, the school of Ateliers de Sèvres, in Paris. Then, a complete training in the graphic arts professions. I took a course in illustration, graphics, photography, art history and learned a lot of techniques.

Graduated with honors in 1999 from the Ecole Supérieure des Arts et Techniques (ESAT), I focused on the advertising, communication and marketing sectors.

Quickly, in addition to my work as Artistic Director and communications consultant, I picked up the brushes and rediscovered the taste for painting outdoor which had never really left me.

Since the 2000s, I take advantage of every moment to paint and draw according to my inspiration. I have thus had great artistic opportunities to carry out projects that are close to my heart, as a magazine illustrator or show decorator.

I regularly participate in individual or group art exhibitions, so many pretexts that allow me great artistic meetings or art galleries.
